Fan infuriati per la qualificazione di Tiffany Stratton al Ladder Match per l’Interim WWE Women’s Championship

Tiffany Stratton è ufficialmente diretta a SummerSlam dopo l'episodio di WWE SmackDown del 17 luglio, ma non tutti sono contenti.

Dopo che la WWE Women’s United States Champion ha sconfitto Jacy Jayne per qualificarsi all'Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match, i fan hanno inondato Twitter chiedendosi perché una wrestler che detiene già un titolo ottenga un'altra opportunità titolata invece di difendere quello che possiede. Una delle lamentele principali riguarda il fatto che la WWE abbia introdotto il Women’s United States Championship solo per spostare immediatamente la campionessa nel giro del titolo mondiale.

“Ha già un c**** di titolo! Lasciate che lo difenda. Perché avete introdotto il Women’s United States Championship, allora? Sono sempre le stesse persone, cavolo. Triple H è pessimo nel suo lavoro.”

Altri hanno fatto notare quella che considerano una gestione incoerente. Alcuni fan hanno ricordato le polemiche su Liv Morgan per la sua partecipazione al torneo Queen of the Ring mentre deteneva una cintura, sostenendo che la WWE stia facendo esattamente la stessa cosa con la Stratton.

“Dopo che tutti si sono lamentati di Liv nel torneo KOTR da campionessa, ci ritroviamo di nuovo con questa stronzata con un'altra campionessa. #f***wwe #f***tko summerslam può andare a farsi fottere!”

Molti fan ritengono inoltre che la WWE abbia perso l'occasione di lanciare un nuovo nome. Invece di offrire a un'altra Superstar un'opportunità di carriera, credono che la compagnia sia ricorsa a una campionessa già affermata che ha già molto da fare in vista di SummerSlam.

“Perché questa tizia è nel match QUANDO HA GIÀ UN CAMPIONATO!!! Possiamo per favore dare una possibilità ad altre persone?”

Altri si sono chiesti perché il Women’s United States Championship sembri improvvisamente meno importante di quando è stato introdotto, sostenendo che la Stratton dovrebbe essere già impegnata in una difesa titolata invece di inseguire un altro titolo.

“Questa è la m**** per cui non pago più nulla alla WWE. Hai una US Champion che si qualifica per un WWE Championship. Dovrebbe essere in una story per difendere il suo titolo a SummerSlam, invece ci propinate questo scempio.”

La situazione non si è fermata qui, con un altro fan che ha chiamato in causa direttamente la WWE per lo stesso identico problema:

“Cara @WWE, una domanda veloce. PERCHÉ L'ATTUALE US CHAMPION STA COMPETENDO PER UN ALTRO TITOLO!!?? Continuate a fare la stessa stupida cosa più e più volte!”

La controversia è nata dopo l'annuncio da parte della WWE di un Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match in seguito all'infortunio di Rhea Ripley. A SmackDown, la Stratton ha sconfitto Jacy Jayne diventando la prima Superstar a qualificarsi, mentre Jade Cargill ha ottenuto un posto in seguito sconfiggendo Nia Jax per squalifica, causata dall'interferenza di Charlotte Flair.

Resta da vedere se queste critiche porteranno a dei cambiamenti, ma una cosa è apparsa chiara subito dopo la fine di SmackDown: molti fan pensano che la WWE avrebbe dovuto costruire il percorso di Tiffany Stratton verso la difesa di un campionato, anziché farle inseguire il secondo.
