Fan furiosi dopo la vittoria di Jey Uso nel torneo King of the Ring

Durante l'edizione di SmackDown del 12 giugno, Jey Uso ha sconfitto LA Knight, Finn Balor e Royce Keys in un caotico Fatal Four-Way match di primo turno. L'incontro si è sviluppato in tutta l'arena e ha visto momenti concitati, tra cui una powerbomb in stile Shield attraverso il tavolo di commento, l'interferenza esterna di Solo Sikoa e diversi conteggi sfiorati, prima che Uso riuscisse a ottenere la vittoria con una splash.

Dopo lo show, i fan si sono riversati su Twitter per lamentarsi della decisione della WWE di far avanzare Uso nel torneo. Un fan è stato netto nel dire che, a suo avviso, Jey non meritava di vincere: "Il vostro programma è morto. Jey Uso non merita di passare il turno".

Un altro fan è stato ancora più duro, accusando la WWE di continuare a favorire i nomi legati alla Bloodline: "Fanculo a questi pagliacci raccomandati che leccano il culo a Roman". Un altro utente ha sostenuto che la WWE avrebbe dovuto puntare su LA Knight, criticando al contempo lo stile sul ring e la presentazione di Jey.

"Perché cazzo continuano a spingere Jey? Tutto quello che fa è dare superkick alla gente, cambiare la sua musica e volerla sentire ripetere all'infinito. Quando capirà la WWE cos'è meglio per il business? Tutti dicono L.A. KNIGHT… YEAH!"

Un altro fan si è scagliato contro Triple H, furioso per il fatto che la WWE abbia preferito Uso a LA Knight e Finn Balor: "C'erano LA Knight e Finn Balor, ma no, scegliete questo pezzo di merda, il re degli spot sbagliati in persona. Fanculo, Triple H". Un altro fan ancora ha dichiarato di essere stanco del push di Jey, suggerendo addirittura che Randy Orton dovrebbe attaccarlo per prenderne il posto nel torneo.

"Quando è troppo è troppo. Ne abbiamo avuto abbastanza del push di Jey Uso negli ultimi due anni. Non ne possiamo più di questa spazzatura, ancora e ancora. Fate in modo che Randy attacchi Jey Uso e lo sostituisca. Non se ne può più di vedere Jey Uso spinto così tanto e forzato a ogni costo. Basta, fermatevi."

L'incontro ha regalato alla WWE grande drammaticità, con Royce Keys apparso dominante in diverse fasi e un LA Knight che ha goduto di un forte sostegno da parte del pubblico. Tuttavia, la WWE ha scelto di puntare su Jey Uso e questa decisione ha chiaramente diviso i fan online.

Jey Uso prosegue il suo cammino, che ai fan piaccia o no, ma la reazione dimostra che la WWE potrebbe trovarsi di fronte a un altro acceso dibattito. Uso rimane una delle stelle più lanciate dalla compagnia e ogni sua vittoria importante sembra generare sia un grande sostegno che forti polemiche.
